This Movie catched our attention so we have to park it right here. In Cannes Enter the Void was just shown, the colorful mind-trip from Gaspar Noés (France) could be worth to see. Also Thomas Bangalter (Daftpunk) got caught for the soundtrack. The story is about a drug dealing young man and reflects the love to his sister. The drug called TNT is very heavy stuff, the effect takes only about 10 minutes but you think it goes on for hours and is too strong. You see light lines like in a Tron movie,  Gaspar describes in an Interview and this atmosphere he wanted to show with this movie. Critics about the movie are divided. Some say the movie should go back to finalcut, some say the movie has what it takes to be outsanding and cult. But for now let’s enjoy the trailer and wait for the English/German version.

Rob Nelson von Variety hat der Film offensichtlich nicht gefallen, er hebt auf den Drogenbackground der Story ab und empfiehlt Noé, sich besseren Stoff zu suchen. Der Film sei bis zur Ermüdung vollgestopft mit Gimmicks, und nach der knappen Fertigstellung für den Wettbewerb von Cannes sei ein weiterer Besuch des Schneideraums angeraten. Manohla Dargis von der New York Times zeigt sich trotz dem Hinweis auf die eher sekundäre Geschichte fasziniert von Enter the Void und den Ambitionen Noés. Was den Film von anderen Werken unterscheide, sei der unbedingte Wille Noés, uns etwas zu zeigen, was wir vorher noch nie gesehen hätten. kinozeit.de
